12" C-Thru graph rulers are clear plastic with red markings, calibrated in 16ths to the inch. These markings are easy to read; markings are laminated so they will not rub off. The clear plastic of the ruler allows you to be able to see the surface underneath. Ruler is 12 inches long by 2 inches wide.
*I use the graph ruler to trace a line drawing by lining the ruler up along any straight lines and dragging a pencil along the ruler's edge. I also use the graph ruler to aid in the transfer of any straight lines to the surface, by dragging the stylus along the ruler's edge - ex. lighthouses, structures and horizon lines.
